I just watched the annual town fireworks from my bedroom window. Not the most comfortable positioning, and it wasn’t until it was nearly over that I realized I should have gone outside to the boardwalk on the OTHER side of the trees, but it was still really nice. Halfway through, the cloud cover moved in and got lower, and the round fireworks began to be cut in half, and then disappear completely. It was disappointing for a minute, but then I realized it was just as entertaining, because it looked as though the clouds were raining sparks in the midst of a colourful lightning storm. It was really rather beautiful.
