Kevin and I are shacking up! We found an apartment in the leafy area of town for just a bit more than what I'm paying now (which means I pay half what I pay now!). It's got a ginormous living room with a hardwood floor, lots of windows, a large kitchen, very high ceilings, a room with a laundry hookup, and two longish, narrowish bedrooms.

Yay!

Only problem: We move in on the first of August. Which means I have 8 days to pack. Dog help me. I spent a few hours in the dripping heat last night packing my living room.. and then I ran out of boxes. And energy. So I got into bed.. and didn't sleep. Again. I can't get my brain to shut off. Stupid brain.

Howevah! My mommy is coming to visit me tonight to help (and she's bringing food!), and my Shauna just called to say she's coming over tonight as well. Turn on the fans, it's gonna be a hot one!

I'm taking three half-days and a full day off for 'vacation' right around the weekend we'll be moving. I'd just take the days off, period, but my work co-hort is off sick/vacation and I'm doing both our jobs, so I have to come in every day to clear up assignments and student problems. Blech. I took off the mornings, though, so I can stay up into the night packing in the cool air instead of the heat of the afternoon.

I've been doing 3D stuff today, which makes my fingers sore (it's more efficient to use the mouse for 3dstudiomax), so I gotta stop typing.

I have to live with a BOY!
