I ordered 29 exam copies (ie: free from the publisher for teachers) of books at work the other day, expecting, as always, to receive about 5. Instead? They've sent 25, with the other 4 on the way! This is the best part of my job. Once I sort through them and figure out which ones are best for the courses I'm teaching/developing, the rest I am free to take home. There are books on design, colour, CSS, drawing, digital photography, website navigation, typography, and many combinations of the above. Yay books!

Kevin's car finally broke good. The brake pads fell off on the driver's side and they're now wedged between the rotor and the wheel. He had to walk to his doctor's appointment way early this morning.

kevin's baby sister had a baby last thursday! took us all by surprise - six weeks early. he's ok, she's ok, she's allowed home but he's not. still in the incubator. poor little thing.
