So, I decided this afternoon to take my meagre savings, pay off my meagre credit card debt, and build up my savings again monthly with the money I had been using to pay off the card, thereby getting rid of the evil interest I was paying and instead earn a little bit. Right? Right. Good choice.

After making the smart money choice to pay off the evil credit card debt.. my mom just phoned. Dad went to the bank today to check out their safe deposit box, and it turns out there are bonds there, in my name, that earned compound interest, and that matured in 1998, worth $500 before the interest! My mommy and daddy put money in bonds for me fifteen years ago!

Mommies and Daddies are cool. And so is good money karma.
