Blink

My mom handed over the Canada Savings Bond she'd put away for me so long ago. I remembered today to check the value of the series. Wanna know? Of course you do. I was thinking about $600 or so. Turns out I know absolutely nothing about compound interest. It's $1024. That's a kilobyte of money! It DOUBLED. I'm super-pumped, and I'm dying to get my paws on another bond somewhere and sock it away so I have a great surprise when I'm 36 :)

So anyway, now it's all about the technornography.

I can afford to either upgrade my computer system (which it sorely needs, at 450MHz) with a new AOpen motherboard, an AMD XP 2200+ processor, 512M RAM, a new case, & a geforce video card (at about $600) OR I can buy a digital camera (for about $3-400).

And I can't decide which I want more! I want the camera SO BAD, and if I got it I'd have enough left over to save for the new monitor I'm going to need soon. BUT my poor damn computer cries at night.

Theoretically, I can afford both, but I don't want to blow all this money at once. I want to reinvest at least a few hundred.

I'm so wishy washy! Help me decide?
