Packing and Whatnot

My mom came over and helped me pack tonight. We kicked ass! There’s almost only big things left. I got through 9/10 of my workroom, which was the biggest deal - lots of little organizing bits and bobs and unfinished projects. It’s all in its little rubbermaid tubs and containers, just waiting to be plopped into larger boxes. My mom packed up just about everything in my bedroom but my clothes and books (a huge job for me tomorrow - I have to sort and purge as I go), and then she packed up and cleaned the rest of my kitchen. She and Shauna came in last week and helped me pack up the whole of my living room and most of the kitchen except dry and canned goods. I have the best family and friends in the world. Have I mentioned that?

We had been cruising along for about four hours when I came across a package of christmas wrapping paper that I’d bought a couple of years ago and never had a chance to use, but I thought I had forever to find an opportunity. It has “Ethan” written all over it. I bought it the year he was born, but I’d been waiting until he was old enough to read to use it. I started to bawl, and that made my mom and dad cry too. It was so sad.

I still haven’t finished writing about the week he died. I can’t bring myself to post it half-completed, and it’s so hard to write. Plus, I’m concerned about some of it being too personal to his parents to post at all.

. . .

Today I went to kythryne.com and got all fired up to do more wirework. I can’t wait until next week when I have a nice new workroom to be creative in. And while we’re talking of things I can’t wait for - I can’t wait until next week to start my new life with Kevin!
